5 Documentary Wedding Photographers...
It all started just before my daughter was born (2015). I wanted to document family life in a way that was not disposable like the masses of selfies or general camera phone awfulness that spam-up social media feeds. I wanted to create photos that had more creative thought behind them, photos that I would actually pay money to print and put up around the house or send as gifts to my family. A couple of years later my sister-in-law invited me to shoot her wedding on a beach in Cornwall! Talk about a tough first gig- there’s no climb-down if I messed it up big time. But I was so thrilled to be asked because I’d been dreaming about shooting a wedding because in my mind it paired a truly joyous occasion with the need to have beautiful story-telling photography. I loved it! More importantly, they love the photos, and not long after I started my wedding photography business (2017). I live in Nottingham with my wife and 2 children. I shoot weddings throughout the East Midlands for fun-loving couples. I have a very relaxed style and while I work in a documentary manner for 95% of the day, I specialise in creating natural-looking couples portraits. [Nottinghamshire Wedding Photographer]

I have been shooting weddings for 6 years and I cannot imagine doing anything different now. Photography has always been my passion. I first picked up the camera when I was seven. It was my father's old Russian Zenith SLR camera. Since then photography fascinated me and I always wondered how all these great photos have been taken. The light, composition, technique and finally people in pictures. I did not want to just look at photos I wanted to take them. It all seriously started in 2006 when I got myself first digital SLR camera. I started photographing some great British landscapes and displayed my work in local galleries. I then moved into photographing people and finally documenting their big days. I love honest documentary way of photographing weddings with full respect to wedding photojournalism. No posing, staging, directing or interrupting the wedding flow. Just real moments within the wedding story. I live in Nottingham with my wife Gosia and our little boy David. Travelling to photograph weddings across the UK, I provide high quality service in a friendly and relaxed manner. [Nottinghamshire Wedding Photographer]

Since 2008 I have been part of a professional photography team capturing over 300 wedding adventures in our hometown of Nottingham and the UK across several cultures including Afro-Caribbean, Chinese, English, Hindu, Jewish, Muslim, Nigerian and Sikh. My Approach At a wedding, we are the unobtrusive guests allowing the day to unfurl at its own beautiful pace where The Couple and their chosen loved ones can just ‘Be’. This approach lends itself to a documentary type of photography where we capture moments that resonate with atmosphere and meaning. [Nottinghamshire Wedding Photographer]

Hi there! I'm Andy a documentary wedding photographer based in sunny Nottingham in the UK. I've tried a few different jobs in my time, it all started as a drum teacher; having played the drums for around 15 years. After that, it was an accountant for a long 13 years... In 2014, I shot my first wedding, and like most wedding photographers, it was a friend's wedding. I did all my research; I did all the planning, I completed the youtube university degree on wedding photography by watching days and days of wedding photography tutorials. But, I realised after my first wedding that I didn't want to be a 'traditional wedding photographer' I didn't want to spend hours and hours waiting for Uncle John to come back from the bar so we can get yet another family formal group shot. My calling is documenting the wedding day as a guest, to give my couples a view of their wedding, which is unique. Yes, there will also ways be the odd groups shot here or there, but for 99% of a wedding day, I'm there as a guest capturing all the wedding moments that the Bride and Groom would never see. Photographing weddings takes up so much of my life, I live and breathe it every single day. I never stop thinking about pictures of weddings and the excitement about the next wedding. When I do have spare time, I'm either out running or out walking the dog - Rufus who is a fox red Labrador, but even then - I'm always thinking about weddings. Hopefully, this little snippet gives you an idea about me and I can guarantee that I will not be climbing up a ladder to organise your wedding guests into a heart shape, to get a group shot! Hi, I'm Nick originally from Liverpool but now based out of Lincoln where I live with my partner and two young daughters. Photography started as a hobby for me nearly 11 years ago photographing mostly landscapes, cityscapes & architecture. Whilst I was still serving in the Royal Marines I began the journey into weddings by second shooting and then when I had gained enough experience I decided to take the plunge and start my own Wedding Photography business. I love to shoot weddings in a totally candid, documentary-style not only capturing the emotion of the day but also the FUN and lots of it! Although I'm based in Lincolnshire I also shoot weddings throughout the UK and Europe. [Lincolnshire Wedding Photographer]
