Catherine had trained in photo techniques, darkroom, studio photography and reportage. She professionally started photography in Toulouse during a 6-month internship with an advertising photographer. She then works for companies specializing in weddings and private events, in Paris and then in the South of France. In 1990, she was selected for a collective exhibition in Royan with 20 other photographers at the SIRP (the international exhibition of photographic research). Then she went abroad to Asia and returned to France in 1998. While devoting herself to the education of her daughter who is now 28 years old, she never stopped photographing her environment and participated in 3 collective photo exhibitions in the frame of contests « call to artists » at Berlin, Paris and Auch. She started professional photography again in Toulouse in 2007 and focused on wedding reporting in 2009. In 2021, she includes in her professional work, the individual, corporate and family portraits, on the sidelines of weddings.
Henri Cartier Bresson's photographic work had motivated the purchase of his first analog camera several years ago. She loves French humanist photography and American Street Photography. She is in total affinity with Street Photography which she practices in her free time and without any particular theme; they are fragments of Time and Space. She graduated in « Arts Plastiques » from the University of Paris I Sorbonne Paris. She loves photographing weddings for the purely reportage approach and on the other hand for the happiness she can bring to the bride and groom when they discover their wedding photographs. Catherine registered on the WPJA site at the end of 2019.
