Born in France, grown between Portugal and Switzerland. As a kid I wanted to become an architect and as an architecture student I wanted to work somewhere in between architecture and photography. Near the end of the course I bought my first dSLR, and as a photo-amateur started shooting in the streets. I worked some time as an architect, then as an architectural photographer and later, by accident, I made my first wedding reportage. A year later I decided to give more attention to that empathy I felt with this area and, together with Raquel, my life companion, initiated "menino conhece menina" (in English it means BOY MEETS GIRL), a project over which we would shoot others boys and girls that love each other. Since then this work and this profession has been increasingly contagious and today we dedicate ourselves in full time to observe the happy lives that seek for our photos. As a wedding photographer I found my expression in the emotions of the people I photograph, looking for an approach emotionally genuine and documental. [Porto Wedding Photographer]
I was born in Luanda, Africa, and I lived there until I was 10 years old, a time when I moved to Portugal. I've started my career working as a designer and web designer in an advertising company, but quickly I noticed that I was missing a very important part of my nature - to be connected to people and all the emotions related. I then studied the direction of photography and worked for a while in TV, fiction, advertising, as well as contributing as a freelancer photographer in different agencies. Since then, I've been connected and inspired by different people, places, and cultures, by a simple smile, a color, or just with mother nature in its state of the art. I work professionally in the wedding industry for more than 12 years, on behalf of Laranja Metade [Half Orange] brand, as a parallelism to those looking for their soul mate (the half part). In the past years more as Destination Wedding Photographer. I want to be true and honest when I document a wedding. To observe and write creatively all the feelings related to the key and unexpected moments, in a natural way. I will be honoured to embrace this journey with you. [Lisbon Wedding Photographer]
Paulo Castro began his photographic journey in 2003. It all began as a hobby. In "the National Park of Peneda-Gerês," where his first pictures were taken, he learned to watch the light and understand the photographic technique. He devoted himself to photography of nature and portrait, having stood out in “specialist” magazines and on online sites. Later, between 2005 and 2010, other work was done in other several areas, especially in extreme sports and reporting in nightclubs. In 2010, he conducts his own project, to a momentous register and of memory and also begins to dream of the possibility of becoming a full-time photographer. With the birth of my daughter, Inês Castro in 2013, my greatest dream had come true. Since then my daughter has been the source of my inspiration in my professional career. Every moment is captured naturally and through it, I tell a story of reality. The photograph is what remains to later be remembered. I photograph for passion!!! [Braga Wedding Photographer]
After majoring in advertising, I worked in various fields of art and communication back in my native Brazil. But it was only in wedding photojournalism that I´ve found real vocation and passion. In 2007 I was privileged to be the first Latin American photojournalist to be recognized by a prestigious WPJA. On the very day, I'm a discreet observer in search for the exact instant, applying the best technique, the right angle, the most favourable light, so that couples can hold on to the best moments of their big day. [Lisbon Wedding Photographer]
Luis was born in 1982 in Oporto. He received a bachelor’s degree in Photography and an Academic Degree in Arts and Communication by ESAP – School of Arts of Oporto - Portugal. He did an internship in the Portuguese newspaper “PÚBLICO” in 2003, and since then has followed his path as a freelancer Photojournalist, having published on the most important Portuguese newspapers and magazines. Since 2007 he has been working for the agency called NFACTOS, responsible for some of his occasional international jobs for other agencies such as REUTERS and AFP - AGENCE FRANCE PRESSE. As a wedding photographer, bearing in mind the perspective of a photojournalist, he creates a photographic narrative, without any posing and with a lot of spontaneity. [Porto Wedding Photographer]
Pedro Vilela was born in Lisbon Portugal in 1981. I simply love how a photograph can capture a moment and it´s atmosphere, an emotion, a memory and tell a beautiful story. My aim is to document your day in a creative way, not just the key events, but also all the in-betweens… More than just telling stories, I document life itself. Your wedding is a special moment in your life. Its part of your family’s heritage. So, my job is to create visual heritage for future generations. [Lisbon Wedding Photographer]
As a wedding photographer the work that I develop reflects the way I see and feel the world. It is based on photojournalism, where the photographer is an external element to the action, an observer. The human element has always been my passion. I try, above all, to tell a story, a story about people. I look for details, expressions, looks and sounds. I for look for unique moments and unrepeatable instants. Born in Oporto, Portugal, where I live with my wife and my child, I have a University degree in advertising, a business area that I used to work in. In photography my formation was in IPF – Portuguese Photography Institute, Cover Photo School, in Madrid, along with some other workshops that I usually attend every year. However, I consider myself an auto didactic photographer. [Porto Wedding Photographer]
I was born in 1986 in the city of Porto. I always grew up with a lot of interest in art, since my parents were art teachers. I graduated in Art and it was during college that I took a photography class. After graduating I took a professional photography course in 2011 and after that, I worked in photojournalism and commercial photography as an assistant. After working as a second photographer at weddings, in 2018 I launched Caixa de Histórias, my own photography company. [Porto Wedding Photographer]
I am a Portuguese wedding photographer and I love to be attentive to details, light, colors, shapes ... I am passionate about life. I love nature, I love hiking and traveling. I look for balance in my yoga practice, and cinema is my main source of inspiration. It was fourteen years ago that I started photographing weddings and thus I discovered that my passion is to photograph people. I like to see them being themselves and to live happy moments with those they love. I'm an incurable romantic, I can't deny it… eh eh I want to make a difference on a day as special for you as your wedding. More than someone who is there to photograph, I want to be someone who accompanies you in one of the happiest moments of your life. And, of course, I want to immortalize these moments, so that they can be revised and remembered time and time again, and so that with them we can continue to be thrilled for life outside. [Leiria Wedding Photographer]
My name is Pedro. For me, photography is more than a hobby, it is art. In recent years I devoted to photographing marriages, believing that nothing is more magical than to freeze a love story in time and space. I create pictures based on emotions and create photos for passionate people. My style is a unique combination of fine art, photojournalism, and portrait. I try to capture the feeling, the laughter, the reactions and the small details that make a special day, using almost exclusively natural light. Above all, we want to make people happy and tell their stories with our images. As in the creation of any work of art, a photographer does not need to sign his work. His work speaks for itself. I studied violin for 12 years and I have a master degree in mechanical engineer. I live in Aveiro, Portugal, but the world is our goal. [Porto Wedding Photographer]
Always in love with photographs, I always walked with a camera with me to record moments and memories. In 2017 and after several years of photographing as a hobby, I was challenged to photograph weddings at a professional level. Since I started I tried to bring a different look and based on some important premises for me, be it GLAMOR, CREATIVITY, EMOTION, PASSION and HUMOR, or if I was not a fun person. A work based on a photojournalistic basis, trying to live the wedding as if it were a guest, in order to register the real emotion and experience of the day. I always want records that challenge me, that allow me to live the wedding as I like it, putting everything at least that it does, living up to the two mottos that it adopted [Coimbra Wedding Photographer]
I discovered photography in my life even while attending Business Administration at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul in 2011, and it changed my life completely. Before that I never imagined having my own company let alone registering such intense feelings from other people and thus making a difference in their lives through my eyes. Regardless of the type of event being a wedding, graduation, family photo, I always try to tell these stories in a unique and personal way, creating a connection between my photography and the lifestyle of the people being photographed. I want to connect with people who identify with my way of being and think about photography, and create a tool to build a more authentic relationship between people with the same tune. Wedding photographer? I consider myself to be one of life's documentary photographers. I give myself body, soul and heart to document all events with the same intensity, attention and care possible, be they small and intimate, a few miles from my house, or, immense on the other side of the world. [Porto Alegre Wedding Photographer]
I am a Southern California storytelling photographer, so my number one goal is to capture your wedding day authentically. For me, it is all about genuine imagery that reflects the emotions and connections. I’ve always been one to document, but my love of photography really blossomed with the birth of our first child. I inherited my first DSLR camera, which I enjoyed, but it wasn’t until a friend taught me how to use the manual mode that I realized pointing and shooting play a very small role in creating a compelling image. So my quest began: to make images — creatively and expertly — that move the viewer emotionally. Soon after, I had more life-changing moments to document: our 2nd daughter’s cleft palate surgery and bringing our son home from the hospital for the first time. But I have realized what I enjoy most is capturing the little things: how she cocks her head when she pushes her palms into the play dough, or how he clambers up onto a bike that is way too big for him. For me, the joy of capturing a moment beautifully and memorably is the most exciting part of photography. My style is photojournalistic for a reason—I believe the images you will cherish over the years are not the posed ones but the genuine, honest ones. Documenting weddings gives me the opportunity to capture the unscripted moments that make life beautiful. [Los Angeles Wedding Photographer]
I am Clara Sampaio, I photograph for passion and love my profession. Since I've changed architecture for wedding photography and family, I can say that I'm part of a select group of people who work with what they really like, and that makes all the difference. The language of my work is guided by photojournalism and most of the time I photograph the moments as they actually happen. I seek the truth of each couple's feelings to tell their love story with pictures. [Rio de Janeiro Wedding Photographer]
Stories enchant me. In addition to being an elopement, wedding and family photographer, I have a degree in Visual Arts and have taught for 10 years about the image. In recent years I have been able to document unique stories both inside and outside the country. This makes me very grateful and happy, after all love is a universal language, just like photography. [Rio de Janeiro Wedding Photographer]
Hi, I'm Pedro, a Wedding Photographer. My style has been sculpted through books, movies and the vision of works by other great documentary artists, as well as masters of painting. My interest in photography comes since I was a child, but professionally I have been dedicated to it for two years, other interests in addition to wedding photography are social photography and portrait. I think this job is the best in the world because I get the privilege to capture the most important moments in someone's life. I am completely passionate about what I do. I love this job, the people, places, and the magical moment people shares with me. [Jaen Wedding Photographer]

Dennis Viera is half of the internationally recognized, award-winning wedding photojournalism team of Viera Photographics. Based in Portugal and Sonoma County, Dennis and his wife Jaime travel worldwide documenting weddings. Their business was born over 10 years ago on the remote South Island of New Zealand, precisely the same time they found out they were expecting their first child, Alex. For Dennis, the photographic journey began in his hometown of Newport, Rhode Island the summer before graduating from high school, when he was awarded a lost camera from a part-time job he'd been working. From there, the passion for documenting life continued to evolve. Rapidly. Dennis began working for his college newspaper while attending the University of San Diego, learned the basics from the photo editor, and soon became his assistant while also managing the ads department and keeping the paper funded. He learned the basics of photojournalism and also how to set up more structured editorial and fashion shoots while processing film and scanning prints. Upon graduation, Dennis chose to forego an easy route to financial security and instead got a job at a small but incredible San Diego camera shop and darkroom. A little over a year passed when he was plucked from behind the counter and hired to run a commercial photography studio while also handling the events side of the business; all the while, continuing to learn by experimentations with all different combinations of cameras, lenses, and formats. This was at a time when digital was revolutionizing commercial photography studios and over his four-year period as manager, he led the transition from an all-film to an all-digital studio. Photography is not and has never been a job for Dennis, it's a deeply rooted part of him. Dennis loves photographing people, life, landscapes, architecture...so, weddings provide him the opportunity to weave together everything he's ever learned or experienced to tell each client's story in a unique way. When Dennis isn't shooting for a client or himself, he can be found hanging out with his son Alex and his wife Jaime, snowboarding, hiking, fishing, buying records, listening to music, baking bread, making wine, traveling Europe and trying to be the best husband/dad/son/human being possible. [San Francisco Wedding Photographer]
When I started university, I got a camera from my brother. I instantly fell in love with photography and within a year, I bought myself a "pro" camera and started shooting for a local fashion agency. It was a great job for a student and I learned so much about working with light and people, as well as all the editing, colors and composition. While I enjoyed the job I was aiming for a more photo journalistic approach in my shoots. Later, a friend called me and asked if I can shoot at a wedding. It was a life changing experience for me. I really enjoyed the shoot and later on I started to get calls from newlywed friends and friends of their friends... It was like an avalanche and I became fully immersed in the world of wedding photography. That was seven years ago. At the same time, I was deeply interested in yoga and zen and I was searching for the same approach in photography - creating a simple, clean and highly polished look, but still far away from overdone image alteration. I believe a good shot must stand on it's own and not on effects added in postproduction. Photojournalistic way of shooting works for me: I love to get the essence of the moment, to catch the magic of people’s interactions and emotions, as well as the atmosphere of the locations themselves. And I must admit I also love to hear my clients talk about how the images bring them back in time and make them re-live the best moments once again. I do not cover only weddings, I use my talent and experience to capture the beauty in life all around. I shoot people in love and their kids. I shoot portraits and I shoot bikes too. Don't laugh. Biking is a part of my life and naturally, I'm the one with a camera. Around the house or in Italy at the races, I shoot it. Actually, capturing racing bikers provided me a fantastic training to capture the peak of the moment. The other thing I deeply appreciate is architecture. I am glad for all the shoots for hi-end magazines, hotels and restaurants. Every new location brings in inspiration and I like to watch and study how the light changes the look and feel of the place. In a certain way, it affects my wedding photography too. I can quickly find the right spot and perspective to let the energy of the venue come alive in the shoot. It all just clicks. When not shooting, I spend most of my time with my friends and family, walking the dog in the forest and meadows. I read books, travel, visit art exhibitions, work on my bike and sometimes I visit my parents in the countryside and help them with the greenhouse. I bike, ski and swim. Life is good:) [Prague Wedding Photographer]
I've been a wedding photographer for 16 years. I started out shooting weddings in Barcelona, Spain, where I lived and was artistically inspired for almost ten years. Now, back on home turf, I cover both UK and destination weddings. Aside from wedding photography, I provide artistic reportage coverage of business events, working for clients including Pfizer. I also do stock photography and have had work featured in hundreds of publications worldwide, from Time Magazine to The Telegraph. I've worked voluntarily for charities, such as The Cambodia Trust, and my work has been published in The Ephotozine Guide to Great Photography. Wedding photography is my passion, though. I adore being the eyes at your wedding, following emotions, and framing them artistically. My favourite subjects are moments, sometimes vibrant, other times subtle, but always very real. I've worked with many amazing people over the years, including Melanie Sykes. My other passion is my two children, Max and Romy. They provide me with amazing moments every day of the week. They grew tired of my camera very quickly, so I’ve had to learn the art of getting great photos without them noticing! If you like the way I work, please get in touch and we can chat about your plans. [East Sussex Wedding Photographer]
Wedding & Lifestyle Photography by Paulina Sliwka for those who simply love beauty… Hi! My name is Paulina - a wedding & lifestyle photographer based in the South of the Netherlands, photographing all over the country and Belgium, increasingly around Europe. Mostly I shoot weddings, but also love, boudoir, maternity, and family sessions. I also organise mentor meetings for other photographers. People say about me that I am “extremely friendly, enthusiastic and cheerful”, “fantastic and energetic”, ”with lots of energy and a head full of ideas.“ Work as a photographer is the best job I could have ever dreamed of. I love every aspect of it and it fits perfectly my temperament, character, and passions. I am a huge fan of natural photographs, full of emotions, happiness, passion and, above all, that shows how beautiful you are. My work’s been published in many different ways and I have received a lot of beautiful opinions from my couples. [Tilburg Wedding Photographer]
I had my first photographic experiences with laptops, then with my first SLR ... and I just became addicted to photography, immortalizing everything around me. My photos are a reflection of my experience and of what I am ... sensitive, spontaneous, and a little offbeat! I first started photography by doing landscapes and animals, which allowed me to 2nd prize at the International Festival of Photostory of Saint Brieuc. I quickly got into wedding photography, first of all, covering weddings of friends and family, which was an eye-opener for me! I like to enrich myself with encounters, other cultures, and other horizons. Since 2016, I covered about fifty weddings, via Paris and Bretagne and I decided to devote myself entirely to my passion. RAVES, REVIEWS, AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Fabio and Maria, you were an absolute pleasure to work with from the start – Customer focus: you were very happy to meet us on more than one occasion to understand how we’d like our wedding day captured and were always very prompt to answer any of our emails (and the many queries from our parents!). In particular we were really touched when you sent us sneak previews of a selection of photos while we were on honeymoon. Proactive: you visited the venues independently to scout out the locations and lighting. On the day, you also took the initiative to speak to our priest and understand when they could take discretely photos during the mass. Professional: On the day, you seamlessly blended in with our guests, adapted flexibly to the flow of the day and captured the story and the emotions of the day beautifully. We are so pleased with our album and are so grateful to you for your hard work and patience! Thanks again to you both!
Using you guys was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From our first conversation, we could tell you were friendly, easygoing people who just like to take great pictures and make your clients happy. You took the time getting to know us and our relationship so you could give us exactly what we wanted. On our wedding day you were flexible, fun, and extremely easy to work with; not that we ever had any doubts, but the pictures came out ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. We were thrilled with all the pictures...and happy to have two new friends. We love you and recommend you wholeheartedly!!!
Words can't express how thrilled we are with your photos! You captured our day perfectly and the range of emotions that we experienced that day. Our friends and family also can't get enough of the pictures; we receive so many compliments on your beautiful work. Both of our parents display the photos all over their houses, and our grandparents, aunts and uncles have all requested copies. When we were choosing a photographer for our wedding, we really wanted someone whose work was artistic and unique; your portfolio not only met, but exceeded that requirement. Thank you, also, for being so wonderful to work with. We really enjoyed getting to know you over email prior to meeting you in person, and especially appreciated your willingness to listen to our thoughts and ideas. During our engagement session, we were so impressed that you were able to make us feel comfortable not only with you, but with being photographed. That's not easy to do for us, as we're both a little camera-shy. Thank you again for an amazing experience. We love to look at our wedding book and remember Prague and all the special moments from that week. If you're ever in NYC or in the New England area, we'd love to have you photograph our family - if we have kids at that time. :) There's no one that could do it better than you! Or, we could just visit Prague again and come to you. Either way, it would mean a lot to us to work with you again.
My husband, George, and I would like to tell you what an awesome job you did for our wedding. They are absolutely stunning!!! The photos are beyond my expectation! You are truly wonderful and talented, and have done a spectacular job. Words can't describe how happy we are with your work. You really captures the spirit and the feeling of that day and gave us some everlasting memories. Every time we look at the pictures, those great memories come right back. We have received so many wonderful compliments that people often ask to hire you and sad to find out you are not in the US. The photo book you made for us was very special and of high quality. It showcased our wedding so well that it allowed us to share those special moments with our friends who were not there. It will certainly become a family treasure for years to come. Thank you again and we truly appreciate your exceptional work. ,
We are so happy we hired you to photograph our wedding day. When we saw samples of your work on your website we were certain you could deliver what we wanted, but the actual results completely exceeded our expectations. We love the lighting, colours and framing in every photo. The candid shots during our wedding breakfast are wonderful, particularly during the speeches – they really take me back to those moments. We felt comfortable with you throughout the day and loved your ideas for a photo session roaming around Prague to make use of the stunning picturesque backgrounds. The city is so close to my heart and is captured forever as a main player of one of the most special days in my life. Speaking of special days – we gave birth to our beautiful daughter last November and would love to have you take some photos of her when we’re next in Prague! Keep up the good work. We will always recommend you to anyone who needs an approachable, competent, professional and fantastically talented photographer.
Hi Stepan, It's hard to express in words how unbelievable your photos were! You really were fantastic :) Thank you so much for being our wedding photographer. Throughout the process, from discussing ideas with you in the months of preparation to choosing photos for our album afterwards – you've been a pleasure to work with. While our wedding only lasted one day, we are so glad that we'll have your photographs to remember it by for the rest of our lives. You are such an artist, and you truly captured the essence and feeling of the day. We've received so many compliments from our family and friends on the photographs, and we honestly can't stop looking through the album you made us! Thanks again for being such a special part of our wedding. Josef and I were thinking that it might be nice to have an extra session with you on our first anniversary. It wouldn't have to be the exact day, but we thought it would be cool to have photos from you one year later. Let me know what you think :) Thanks again! Isabel
We live in London and recently got married in Portugal. I can't thank you enough Maria and Fabio for all of your help. Not only did you take the most amazing pictures of our special day, but you also were great in giving us lots of useful information to plan our wedding. We would highly recommend you to any couple looking to get married! Thanks Fabio and Maria!
