I was born in 1986 in the city of Porto. I always grew up with a lot of interest in art, since my parents were art teachers. I graduated in Art and it was during college that I took a photography class. After graduating I took a professional photography course in 2011 and after that, I worked in photojournalism and commercial photography as an assistant. After working as a second photographer at weddings, in 2018 I launched Caixa de Histórias, my own photography company. [Porto Wedding Photographer]
Born in France, grown between Portugal and Switzerland. As a kid I wanted to become an architect and as an architecture student I wanted to work somewhere in between architecture and photography. Near the end of the course I bought my first dSLR, and as a photo-amateur started shooting in the streets. I worked some time as an architect, then as an architectural photographer and later, by accident, I made my first wedding reportage. A year later I decided to give more attention to that empathy I felt with this area and, together with Raquel, my life companion, initiated "menino conhece menina" (in English it means BOY MEETS GIRL), a project over which we would shoot others boys and girls that love each other. Since then this work and this profession has been increasingly contagious and today we dedicate ourselves in full time to observe the happy lives that seek for our photos. As a wedding photographer I found my expression in the emotions of the people I photograph, looking for an approach emotionally genuine and documental. [Porto Wedding Photographer]
Luis was born in 1982 in Oporto. He received a bachelor’s degree in Photography and an Academic Degree in Arts and Communication by ESAP – School of Arts of Oporto - Portugal. He did an internship in the Portuguese newspaper “PÚBLICO” in 2003, and since then has followed his path as a freelancer Photojournalist, having published on the most important Portuguese newspapers and magazines. Since 2007 he has been working for the agency called NFACTOS, responsible for some of his occasional international jobs for other agencies such as REUTERS and AFP - AGENCE FRANCE PRESSE. As a wedding photographer, bearing in mind the perspective of a photojournalist, he creates a photographic narrative, without any posing and with a lot of spontaneity. [Porto Wedding Photographer]
As a wedding photographer the work that I develop reflects the way I see and feel the world. It is based on photojournalism, where the photographer is an external element to the action, an observer. The human element has always been my passion. I try, above all, to tell a story, a story about people. I look for details, expressions, looks and sounds. I for look for unique moments and unrepeatable instants. Born in Oporto, Portugal, where I live with my wife and my child, I have a University degree in advertising, a business area that I used to work in. In photography my formation was in IPF – Portuguese Photography Institute, Cover Photo School, in Madrid, along with some other workshops that I usually attend every year. However, I consider myself an auto didactic photographer. [Porto Wedding Photographer]
My name is Pedro. For me, photography is more than a hobby, it is art. In recent years I devoted to photographing marriages, believing that nothing is more magical than to freeze a love story in time and space. I create pictures based on emotions and create photos for passionate people. My style is a unique combination of fine art, photojournalism, and portrait. I try to capture the feeling, the laughter, the reactions and the small details that make a special day, using almost exclusively natural light. Above all, we want to make people happy and tell their stories with our images. As in the creation of any work of art, a photographer does not need to sign his work. His work speaks for itself. I studied violin for 12 years and I have a master degree in mechanical engineer. I live in Aveiro, Portugal, but the world is our goal. [Porto Wedding Photographer]
The study of photography was largely self-taught and inspired by great photographers. I just love the idea of getting that memorable moment. However, to consolidate my knowledge and skills I had a photography workshop with photographer Jorge Silva ( SilvaJorge Photography, and photographer at public newspapers such as Expresso, Visão Magazine, and Correio da Manhã ), a Masterclass with Cradoc Bagshaw (TIME, Forbes, New York Times ) and another with Frederico Martins ( VOGUE Portugal, GQ Portugal, Maxim USA ) and probably the most important, a close relationship with photojournalist Jorge Miguel Gonçalves, nowadays working as freelancer photojournalist at Sábado Magazine. Therefore, it is not surprising that my favorite vision and technique is that of an observer, non-invasion of the moment. I also have a small studio where I do portrait photography with marking only. Hi, my name is Gustavo Lucena and I have been a professional photographer since 2009. I am married to the love of my life, we have two cuties named Charlotte and Lilica and since 2016 a new joy has come into our lives, Gigi has come to rock everything and make us even happier and more privileged. I am in love with the capture of images. Mainly for making special and unique moments in frames that can carry emotions forever. In Weddings, Family and Social Events, I work as a photojournalist would, seeking in photography the sincere illustration of true moments; Always attentive to moments of spontaneity, adopting a style beyond the fads and with the maximum art of simplicity and veracity, where the biggest highlight is the beauty of the photographed moment, its message and emotion, in a realistic, organic and analog language. We always work with creative and emotional art and not with pre-assembled images and poses. We photograph as spectators who witness a story. No interference, no poses, no sameness, no turning the event into a theater, so that our clients have a real and live experience of the moment. [Brasília Wedding Photographer]
I was blessed to be born in Madeira Island, Portugal's garden island. I majored in psychology, but my true passion is, in fact, photography and capturing those little moments that reveal real emotions, with no scripts or posing. [Funchal Wedding Photographer]
I am a Portugal wedding photographer and I love to be attentive to details, light, colors, shapes ... I am passionate about life. I love nature, I love hiking and traveling. I look for balance in my yoga practice, and cinema is my main source of inspiration. It was thirteen years ago that I started photographing weddings and thus I discovered that my passion is to photograph people. I like to see them being themselves and to live happy moments with those they love. I'm an incurable romantic, I can't deny it… eh eh I want to make a difference on a day as special for you as your wedding. More than someone who is there to photograph, I want to be someone who accompanies you in one of the happiest moments of your life. And, of course, I want to immortalize these moments, so that they can be revised and remembered time and time again, and so that with them we can continue to be thrilled for life outside.
