Timeless, Romantic & Emotive: Capturing Life's Genuine Moments

My career as a photographer started whilst at college, studying an HND in Graphic Design back in 2010, I had gained previous experience of the photographic industry whilst exploring a very short stint in front of the camera, which I enjoyed. However, the urge to create the art myself became irresistible and I just knew I had to try it out. I picked up my first camera a Nikon D40 and this is where my dream of being a photographer began. I started photographing more for my college projects and local models to practice and perfect my work. At this point, I knew I had to start learning more about the technical side of photography, so I pushed my ideas in college and watched countless Youtube videos whilst gaining industry contacts within Norfolk and beyond. Soon I felt comfortable enough to begin photographing small events and doing commissions for local businesses. I then began to think about something I thought I would never have the chance of doing, University! Applying for University was probably the most nerve-racking time of my life closely followed by the interview! I just knew this was my path and I had to do everything in my power that to make it happen, thankfully I left the interview that day completely gobsmacked with an unconditional offer to study a BA (HONS) Degree in Photography at Norwich University of the Arts. After finishing my Photography Degree at Norwich University of the Arts, I completed my first full wedding season as a ‘main shooter’ and have been in love with weddings ever since! Photography has been my life and passion for the last 10 years, and I wouldn't change it for anything. I also work in both the commercial photographic world and the wedding industry; as well as part-time for Nikon. This means I am fully immersed in the world of photography!
