Skilled, Self-Taught Photographer Specializes in Weddings & Portraits
Photography has been a profound journey for me, beginning in 2010 under deeply personal circumstances. The tragic loss of my brother-in-law, a dedicated law enforcement officer, led me to spend more time with my niece and nephew. To capture and cherish those precious moments, I purchased my first camera, marking the inception of my passion for photography. By 2011, I had transitioned into wedding photography, driven by a desire to preserve fleeting, beautiful moments for others as well.
Despite having no formal education in photography, my dedication and self-taught expertise have earned me the prestigious Master of Photography credential from the Professional Photographers of America (PPA). Over the years, I have continuously refined my skills through various workshops, learning from industry luminaries and enhancing my artistic vision.
With 14 years of professional experience, my career is punctuated by significant milestones, including winning two gold medals at the World Photography Cup. On average, I photograph 30-40 weddings annually, although my business has managed up to 175 weddings during peak years. To date, I have personally documented over 600 weddings, each one a testament to my commitment to capturing love stories with authenticity and creativity.
Beyond weddings, I have a deep affection for pet photography, often volunteering my services to aid animal adoption efforts. Portrait photography, however, remains my foremost passion, where I find joy in capturing the essence and individuality of my subjects.
My shooting style is a harmonious blend of wedding photojournalism and creative portraiture, inspired by notable photographers like Yervant, Jerry Ghionis, Sal Cincotta, Lanny & Erika Mann, Ben & Erin Chrisman, and Tyler Wirken. This hybrid approach allows me to tell compelling stories through my lens, balancing candid moments with artistic compositions.
While my grandparents were photographers, their legacy did not directly influence my path. Instead, my personal experiences and the understanding of the transient nature of life have deeply shaped my perspective. I recognize the irreplaceable value of images in preserving the memories of our loved ones.
My work has garnered over 200 awards in prestigious competitions such as PPA's Photographic Open, Shutterfest's Vision Awards, WPPI's International Print Competition (now Icon Awards), WPE Awards, One Eyeland, and more. These accolades reflect my dedication to excellence and innovation in photography.
Outside of my professional endeavors, I am passionate about working with animals, particularly dogs, an interest that seamlessly integrates into my photographic work.
My studio has thrived in Los Angeles for 14 years, and in 2024, we expanded to Dallas. Our Dallas studio caters to weddings, portraits, boudoir clients, and professional headshots, continuing our tradition of delivering exceptional photography services across both locations.
