Photography at Destination Weddings by Frederic Rejaudry, of Caribbean

I was born in 1977 in Martinique. I've graduated from a software engineer school in 2000 in Valenciennes, France. And I worked as a software engineer from 2000 to 2008 in Paris. In 2006, I started to study photography and got my Photography Professional Certificate in 2008. That's when I decided to go back home to Martinique, and found Malmoth Wedding Photography. Now, I shoot 20 weddings a year, and I have shot more than 150 weddings since 2008. I'm mainly influenced by humanist photographers like Willy Ronis, Henri Cartier-Bresson and Robert Doisneau. I love the genuine candid moments they have photographed and I try to transpose this vision to weddings. Even though I mainly photograph in color. [Martinique Wedding Photographer]

In the 1950 classic film Father of the Bride , George, played by Spenser Tracy, watches his daughter Annie, played by Elizabeth Taylor, take her wedding vows and says to himself, “I realized at that moment that I was never going to come home again and see Annie at the top of the stairs. Never going to see her again at our breakfast table in her nightgown and socks...Annie was all grown up and leaving us, and something inside began to hurt.” The scene may be fiction, but the emotion behind it is...Read more

Many WPJA members can trace their roots to the news profession in some way, having shot everything from small-town stories to significant historical events that have led to Pulitzer Prizes. Likewise, many have felt the adrenaline rush that news photojournalists get from bagging the winning touchdown catch, documenting heart-wrenching tragedies and being on the front lines of history. Thank you both, so much, for the time and work you put into our wedding week. We know the photographs will be incredible, and we are excited to see them! You were such a pleasure to have around, everyone said they enjoyed working with you and spending time with you - including the planner, Jerry, and all of the guests. My parents, especially, spoke very highly of you and enjoyed spending time with you Thursday night at dinner. Paul and I look forward with great anticipation to seeing the album teaser - we have been excited from the day we hired you, to see how you record memories of our wedding in your unique and fantastic style! We hope you are having a great week, Karen (and Paul)
