I love weddings! Capturing the essence and the fun of the day is the most rewarding job you can ever imagine. I offer a documentary type of photography with an artistic touch. I’m very relaxed and easy to be around. I respect people and I let them enjoy their big day without being annoying and interrupting. Most of the time I simply melt into the crowd, observe and catch the best moments happening. I love people, I think they’re the essence of every social event. Their energy, smile, openness attracts me most and reflect in my photography. Ewa Figaszewska, born in Poland, graduated from the University of Silesia, moved to the UK in 2003 where started to photograph. Photography has quickly become the greatest joy in her life. In 2007 after mastering her photography skills in the UK, Ewa has moved to Ireland and started working with dance theatre. Capturing dance and movement has become her greatest passion. 9 years ago she has been appointed as the official photographer of the Irish National Youth Ballet and has been photographing all the company productions over the years. She has also worked with Liz Roche Dance Company, Heartbeat of Home- from the producers of Riverdance, Ballet Ireland, John Scott Dance: Irish Modern Dance Theatre, Dance Theatre of Ireland as well as she has photographed many independent dance projects such as The House of Crossed Destinies at Project Arts Centre in Dublin, Nic Green Dublin edition of Trilogy during ABSOLUT Fringe Festival, Admit One, a dance film, a part of RTE Dance on the Box series and many more. Currently, she is a freelance photographer based in Dublin. Her photographs have been published in The Guardian, Aftenposten, The Irish Times, Sunday Business Post, Irish Theatre Magazine, The Irish Examiner, L'Aperitivo Illustrato and many more. You can also read an article by Stefano Guizzardi- Andare Oltre Il Reportage- about her creative wedding photography in the Italian art magazine L'Aperitivo Illustrato. Apart from dance theatre Ewa has also cooperated with festivals: Fringe Festival, Dublin Theatre Festival, Dublin Dance Festival, Dublin Butoh Festival and photographed many charity & social events. Her photographs were featured on CD covers (Luka Bloom, 2 Meters Sessies, Breda Mayock), theatre posters, programmes, and various publications. Over the years she has developed her individual & unique style. She loves reportage and monochrome photography.
