Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How can couples find reviews of Asia wedding photographers?
A: We call them Client Letters. At the WPJA, we decided more than 20 years ago to avoid incorporating those third-person testimonials and endorsements that are found all too often in advertisements. Instead, we elevated our listings with the use of Client Letters, which represent the actual words and feelings of the clients who booked those Asia wedding photographers for their own wedding.
Q: How can couples find top-ranked Asia wedding photographers?
A: The WPJA created the original wedding photographer ranking systems. Our innovative system is based on contest winning points, meaning that the Asia photographers you see at the top of your search results page have recently won the most — and the most recent — contest awards. Our contests judge photographers based on their creativity, style, composure, and ability to capture the heart of any couple's story on their wedding day.
Q: How can couples find Asia photographers for pre-wedding engagement portraits?
A: The WPJA issues Diamond Awards for Asia wedding photographers to showcase their best engagement photography work. These awards are given to photographers who prove that they have an ability to be creative, artistic, and intuitive while working on-location with couples who are newly engaged.

Dear Martin, Now our wedding and baptism is exactly 3 weeks ago today and we did not want to miss the opportunity to thank you again for everything. It was an unforgettable and unique event for us, captured with many amazing and emotional pictures of you for us forever. We always like to look at the pictures and reminisce. Thank you also for your totally relaxed, calming and open nature and of course for your flexibility (with our little daughter Jana). We would love to book you anytime again! Best regards Petra & Markus with Jana

We were so fortunate to have found you, you were absolutely fantastic at documenting our wedding day in exactly the style we were looking for. You were brilliant at making everything look natural, even got me to smile on camera, which is a feat in itself! Looking back at our photos you have captured the buzz and the genuine emotion in everyone, I can't help but smile every time I look at them. My friends and family were thrilled to have you with us on the day, all mentioning how lovely, unobtrusive and polite you were. You couldn't have made a better impression and it was an absolute pleasure to have you document our wedding, we truly can't recommend you highly enough! "

When we first started planning our HK wedding, my number one focus was to find the perfect photographer that would fit within our budget. Living in Los Angeles, all of the research was done online, and it got overwhelming at one point. I knew exactly the style I wanted, while my hubby was 100% supportive, and when I found you from website, I knew you was "it" after looking through a few of the photo sessions and videos. I love the way he captures the candid moments of the special day, and how natural all the brides and grooms look in his photos. Patrick was the only photographer we met with when we went back to HK to finalize all the wedding details, as I was certain you would be the perfect fit - and thank god I was right! Patrick is very pleasant, accomodating, always has a smile on his face, and is always patient with all our questions. I felt completely at ease after our initial meeting and knew we would be in good hands. On the day of the wedding, you and your team arrived and got to work right away. Every member of your team was such a pleasure to work with, not to mention entertaining :). When we looked back at all the pictures, there were moments we didn't even realize were captured, thanks for speedy picture-taking skills. As for the same day edit video, it was important to me that the music meant something to us instead of a random song, and you said you would try the best to use one of the songs from my list. When we played the same day edit at the wedding banquet and the background song was the #1 choice I requested, I almost wanted to give him a hug if you didn't so far away! Thank you!!! Wish you and your team all the best and more success to come :)
