Glasgow City Chambers, Scotland wedding image during a civil ceremony kiss in the Kelvin Suit
The newlyweds had their civil ceremony in the Kelvin Suit at Glasgow City Chambers. An intimate room that holds no more than 35 Guests.
Jessie and Mike had always wanted a small wedding with just their closest friends and family. They held their service in Glasgow's registry office and followed it with a meal at their local pub. For them, many of the traditions of a wedding just didn't fit with their idea of a wedding day, so they picked the parts that had meaning to them. Having just a small number of guests allowed them to do things differently. Documentary photography was really important to them, and the idea of having lots of couple photos and group shots again didn't fit into their day. The images reflect the relaxed and unique day, and keeping it intimate was key to its success.

Even with less than 30 guests, you can still get a great confetti shot. This was one of the few traditions Jessie and Mike really wanted to keep. They made sure their guests had access to loads of confetti which made for a great shot.

These guys weren't a huge fan of having traditional couple photos taken, so it was important to capture them as they were, fun and spontaneous. This was shortly after they were married along the busy high street in Glasgow City Centre.
