Palazzo Pretorio, Certaldo Wedding Photographers
A Civil Wedding Ceremony Venue in Certaldo | The City Hall - Palazzo Pretorio
Palazzo Pretorio, Certaldo wedding event photography - "The most representative monument of Certaldo, was the ancient residence of the Alberti counts, built around the end of the XII century on the ruins of the ancient houses of this family. The prisons, the audience hall, the archive, the chapel and the private accommodation of the Vicars are still visible today.
On the facade and inside the building there are numerous coats of arms, each of which represents the effigy of the family of each Vicar who ruled and lived here.
In the Palace, you can admire frescoes and sinopias from the 15th and 16th centuries.
Adjacent to the Palazzo Pretorio you can visit the Church of San Tommaso and Prospero, which dates back to the early thirteenth century.
The church, now no longer consecrated, is home to many cultural initiatives (conferences, concerts, exhibitions) and houses the Tabernacle of the Executed (c. 1464/65), frescoed by Benozzo Gozzoli and collaborators."
