Judges

  • This category was strong on composition techniques. There were a lot of images with nice layering. This image grabbed my attention, because it had great layering, but more importantly, a great moment. There is humor on top of good technique.
  • There’s little more to say about an image that says it all. Getting ready for the wedding day is a lot of hard work...well, at least it appears to be...for this bride under the scrutiny of her attendants and, most importantly, the all-important mirror.

      • This is one of the best images I viewed in the whole competition. Amazing use of light, circumstances and composition to make a surreal portrait of this bride. Also creative in the use of the back of a head. Excellent!
