As confetti swirls around them, the bride and groom step out of the Pont du Château town hall as husband and wife.

Once the reality of the COVID-19 pandemic set in, this couple knew that they would no longer be able to move forward with their original plans. Rather than sulking at the injustice of it, they reimagined their wedding day by planning a civil ceremony at the Pont du Château town hall in the Puy de Dôme region of France with the intention of hosting a larger religious celebration next year. The size of their wedding was scaled down, but the joy and beauty of the moment was not minimized.
