Anyone who planned a wedding in 2020 likely has a bittersweet story, and Steffy and George were no exception. The couple had originally planned a large, traditional wedding in October 2020, but knew in March that they would have to redesign their wedding plans. They opted for a Labor Day elopement at their favorite vacation destination, Mammoth Lake. Unfortunately, they had to shift their plans once again when the wildfires swept across California in the final weeks of summer. In the end, they were married in October as they originally intended, but their intimate outdoor ceremony still featured the haze from the fires in the background.
