Dressed in a flowing gown and holding her father's hand, Luana walks away from her parents flat as her excited neighbors watch her leave for her wedding ceremony.
At the end of every wedding, two lives have blended together into one and two families are now forever linked. This wedding went one step further, as it unified two distinct cultures and allowed two individuals to realize their own unique love story. Luana was a resident of a social district neighborhood for Portuguese-speaking Africans and Carlos was a hip hop dancer when the two met and fell in love. With a commitment to their past and a promise for their future, the couple planned a simple ceremony in Olaias Social District in Lisbon, Portugal.
