The leading documentary wedding photographers in the world enter their best photos to the Wedding Photojournalist Association's photography competitions. They want their wedding reportage photographs to be evaluated and selected by some of the most notable and respected working picture editors and photojournalists in the news industry (these are not wedding photographers or other WPJA members judging their work). Winning these competitions is a true accomplishment for a wedding photographer.

  • Love the juxtaposition between the two faces. Black and white really brought out the lines of the woman's face on the right and lets the viewer know she's got lots of stories to tell.
  • Lovely, lovely image of the bride and what I presume is her grandmother. Each arch of the heads leads you to another arch which leads the viewer to the final encompassing arch of the church. The arm of the bride creates an angle to slice the entire image in two. Very well composed and yet the emotion and connection of the subjects hits the viewer first.
