The leading documentary wedding photographers in the world enter their best photos to the Wedding Photojournalist Association's photography competitions. Winning these competitions is a true accomplishment for a wedding photographer.

Judges

  • I'm a sucker for intimate moments that reveal human behavior. This is both intimate and revealing. I love the comforting hand, and the nature of the man's facial feature at center. It's also shot in a way that gives the impression of peering into their lives, completely unaware of the photographer's presence. Solid.
  • An impressionistic beauty of the service. This is such a quiet, beautiful, almost haunting image. The viewer wonders what has happened. Has the groom fainted, is he just happy to be there, is he overcome with joy? The lighting and the perfect expression on the groom add to the mystique.
