Photographer's Comment

We had just finished taking the formal portraits and came back to the hotel room to relax before the start of the ceremony. I was sticking with the bride capturing moments of nervousness and excitement before the wedding began. This is one of my favorite times of a wedding day! Two women from the wedding party plopped themselves and their flowers on the bed and watched tv while others hung around the room. I noticed the red flowers, the red dresses, contrasted against the bronze colored bedspread and the feet; one with shoes the other without. This was shot natural light using a wide angle lens.

Judges

  • Great composition, good color made for a different kind of detail. I like pictures that take the viewer beyond the cliches.
