While the COVID-19 pandemic forced many people around the world to cancel their plans, it actually encouraged this couple to seize the moment and enjoy the beauty of spontaneity. They contacted the photographer just a few days before they wanted to get married, and planned a last-minute affair at the town hall in Hasselt, Belgium.

Waauw, what a year! Normally you would go to the theater to see these kinds of epic stories about a worldwide pandemic. So this seems to be our new reality for a while. This was my first assignment after almost all weddings were postponed. Still, no party allowed, unfortunately, but love still rules! Some couples won't be stopped by an enemy they can't even see. Damn you COVID virus, for ruining our party, but you can't stop love!

The newly-blended family took a creative shadow portrait at a park in nearby Hasselt. 

When Inge and Christophe decided to get married, they knew they were doing more than becoming a couple. They were blending two families together, as they both have children from previous marriages. Despite the challenges that the pandemic presented, this couple decided to plan a quiet, personal wedding in Sint-Truiden, Brussels.
