The bride and groom exchanged rings and clasped hands against a rustic outdoor mountain backdrop filled with vibrant fall foliage colors

Erin and Kris clasp hands after exchanging rings as their friend and Erin's brother-in-law perform the ceremony.

Erin and Kris hopped in their RV and took a road trip to Colorado to get married in the fall, surrounded by mountains and their closest family. More importantly, their dog Harley was able to join them for the entire day at their dog-friendly lodge venue. Just steps from Rocky Mountain National Park, the golden aspens were just one element that made this colorful wedding turn yellow all over. One of the state's largest wildfires ever was raging on the other side of the mountains, but the wind blew the ash across the sky, casting a warm orange-pink glow over the entire area for the day.

The pair was just so happy to be married, in front of 6 guests (7 including their dog) that they didn't let a single thing bother them all day. Erin's brother-in-law officiated the ceremony, which included handwritten vows and plenty of emotion. The tenderness continued just after their pronouncement, as the couple shared a forehead to forehead moment that choked everyone up!

They paused dinner for a moment to enjoy a private moment on the third story balcony of the Wild Basin Lodge to watch the sunset over Copeland mountain. The colors of the sunset were insane because of the wildfire smoke.

At the end of the night, the couple escaped to the aspen grove to share their first dance alone, capping off the night with a shot of romance they will remember forever.

Peak fall colors surrounded the lodge in early October. The couple wanted to celebrate their first dance at their ceremony site, this time surrounded by twinkle lights. I rushed up to the third floor balcony to grab this top-down view on the deck.
