They met on a Monday afternoon at 1 p.m. for their sweet and intimate wedding ceremony. Val had originally planned to attend a film class at Queen's University that morning, but it was canceled. This unexpected change meant they had the entire day to themselves for their secret elopement.

At The Rosemount Inn, the couple had a beautiful suite. When the photographer arrived, Val was looking at schooling options on her laptop, showing her progressive mindset even on the morning of her elopement.

Val and Thomas quickly got ready in their suite. Val did her makeup, and the photographer couldn't resist capturing her stunning transformation. The simple setting of a bathroom mirror, a young woman, and a makeup brush made for captivating photos.

The ceremony took place in The Rosemount Inn Parlour, right next door. It was a sweet and concise affair. They exchanged vows in front of a big fireplace and sealed the deal with a kiss.

The signing of the marriage documents took place on top of a grand piano, providing a chance for the photographer to experiment with an artsy reflection shot.

Finally, Val and Thomas changed into their "street clothes" and headed to Musiikki Cafe, one of their favorite places. It was still mid-afternoon, so they enjoyed some hot tea and had a relaxed conversation, knowing that they were now officially married.
