9th place in Ceremony
The WPJA contest judges presented Sybil Rondeau, a France wedding photographer, with this Master Piece Award as recognition for top wedding photojournalism in the industry.
The leading documentary wedding photographers in the world enter their best photos to the Wedding Photojournalist Association's photography competitions. They want their wedding reportage photographs to be evaluated and selected by some of the most notable and respected working picture editors and photojournalists in the news industry (these are not wedding photographers or other WPJA members judging their work). Winning these competitions is a true accomplishment for a wedding photographer.

- I have to admit I’m drawn to the more unusual setting here. I wish the guy on the left side of the frame was more engaged, but the girl at the right helps make up for it.
- We can only wish to know exactly what the sound girl at right is thinking but her head cocked stare, as she views the scene of a couple who have apparently signed their official papers for legal recognition as husband and wife, is the wonderful taste of this image akin to the lingering palatable notes at the finish of a fine wine.
