3rd place in Creative Portrait

Wedding photographer Lu Ping, was awarded 3rd place for photo 1621166 in the Creative Portrait category for the WPJA's 2015 Q2 Photography Contest.

The WPJA contest judges presented Lu Ping, a China wedding photographer, with this Master Piece Award as recognition for top wedding photojournalism in the industry.

The leading documentary wedding photographers in the world enter their best photos to the Wedding Photojournalist Association's photography competitions. They want their wedding reportage photographs to be evaluated and selected by some of the most notable and respected working picture editors and photojournalists in the news industry (these are not wedding photographers or other WPJA members judging their work). Winning these competitions is a true accomplishment for a wedding photographer.

This is not a PS photo, nor is it specially arranged to shoot, passing the side of the wall is not finished, or black and white draft, and then we come to shoot it Take only one minute to get a photo that has always been a favorite.

Judges

  • This image is elegantly irresistible - a beautiful juxtaposition of vibrant colors against the light, poetic lines of the artist’s mural. It is visually lyrical as it flows across the frame with an air of whimsy. I’m sure there are many ways one could describe the visual experience of this cloud-like image. Perhaps the best is to merely enjoy its lofty view.
