Wedding photographer Daniel Stark, was awarded 5th place in the Silhouettes and Shadows category for the WPJA's 2014 Q1 Photography Contest.
- Here’s an image of near perfection as a musician plays “outfield" to an “infield" backdrop of the bride and groom at their wedding reception. Nonetheless, our "center field” musician fields the play with an upward gesture that wins the game for this photo. With symmetry and style this is a silhouette that needs no introduction.
- The shadow of the couple on the curtain could have just been that — shadows on a curtain with a guy playing a guitar. But, the photographer waited for the right moments to come together, the shadows have their heads together and the guitar player is actually doing something—perhaps pointing out the couple. The low wide-angle lens choice makes those shadows appear really big, perhaps not-so-subtly letting us know that the bride and groom are bigger than the rest of us this day!
