19th place in Mobile Devices

Bangkok wedding photojournalist - Thailand photo of three wedding guests using their tablets to record memories of their own while the bride and groom say their vows

Wedding photographer Khingleaw Pensomboon, was awarded 19th place for photo 1150041 in the Mobile Devices category for the WPJA's 2013 Q1 Contest.

The WPJA contest judges presented Khingleaw Pensomboon, a Bangkok, Thailand wedding photographer, with this Master Piece Award as recognition for top wedding photojournalism in the industry.

The leading documentary wedding photographers in the world enter their best photos to the Wedding Photojournalist Association's photography competitions. They want their wedding reportage photographs to be evaluated and selected by some of the most notable and respected working picture editors and photojournalists in the news industry (these are not wedding photographers or other WPJA members judging their work). Winning these competitions is a true accomplishment for a wedding photographer.

Photographer's Comment

On the wedding day, the photographers have to cope with the problems such as the guests,curious relatives, videographers, reporters etc. That day I found that the guests want to take the photo of the bride and groom. They come to the front row and prevent us for doing our job. I take the opportunity to take the photo of them while they are recording the video via iPad. After that, I ask them politely to sit down so I can take the photo more easier.
