The leading documentary wedding photographers in the world enter their best photos to the Wedding Photojournalist Association's photography competitions. They want their wedding reportage photographs to be evaluated and selected by some of the most notable and respected working picture editors and photojournalists in the news industry (these are not wedding photographers or other WPJA members judging their work). Winning these competitions is a true accomplishment for a wedding photographer.

Photographer's Comment
When you become a parent, you never look at a wedding the same way again. Every year my boy grows, I become more sentimental and aware of the special bond between close family members. From the overt expressions of joy to the subtle nonverbal cues, these are the moments we're always looking for. Our favorite lenses for capturing this feeling are pretty normal - 35mm to 85mm - as that range puts you in the situation but often requires you to go out of your comfort zone and get closer.
