4th place in Ceremony
The WPJA contest judges presented Francesco Survara, a Roma, Italy wedding photographer, with this Master Piece Award as recognition for top wedding photojournalism in the industry.
The leading documentary wedding photographers in the world enter their best photos to the Wedding Photojournalist Association's photography competitions. They want their wedding reportage photographs to be evaluated and selected by some of the most notable and respected working picture editors and photojournalists in the news industry (these are not wedding photographers or other WPJA members judging their work). Winning these competitions is a true accomplishment for a wedding photographer.

- Great classic moment, confetti spilling down, the flash of the camera, and solid composition at the peak moment of the kiss. It all comes together. If there's a weakness, it's that it's expected, which is why I don't rank it higher, but still, good execution of the moment. I'm sure the client would love to have this image.
- I love all the layers to this photograph, from the bride and groom to the little boy at right to the crowd beyond and the flash in the background. The photographer captures nice emotion throughout.
